Smart BMS – The Safety Core for Lead-to-Lithium Conversion

Every Egber 12V lithium battery is equipped with a high-performance intelligent BMS (Battery Management System). The BMS ensures perfect compatibility with your existing charger and loads while providing multi-layer protection:

  • Overvoltage & undervoltage protection – Prevents overcharging or deep discharging of individual cells and the entire pack

  • Overcurrent protection – Safeguards against excessive charge/discharge currents

  • Short circuit protection – Instantly disconnects the circuit to prevent fire hazards

  • Temperature protection – Automatically pauses charging (0~45℃) and discharging (-20~60℃) outside safe ranges

  • Peak buzzer alarm – Audible alert for abnormal conditions

  • Automatic thermal regulation (optional) – Built-in heating pad at the bottom + cooling fan in the case. The system automatically preheats the battery in low-temperature environments (down to -20℃) and activates the fan when temperatures are too high, ensuring reliable cold weather lithium battery 12V performance.

Quick Guide – Replacing Lead Acid with Egber 12V Lithium

  1. Check dimensions – Compare your existing battery compartment with the dimensions in the table above. Some models may require a spacer or minor bracket adjustment.

  2. Verify your charger – Egber 12V lithium batteries require a charge voltage of 14.6V (CC/CV). If your original lead-acid charger outputs 14.4V–14.8V, it can be used. Old constant-voltage chargers (13.8V float) may not fully charge the battery – consider replacing with a lithium-specific charger.

  3. No wiring changes needed – Simply connect positive to positive, negative to negative. Use insulated tools for safety.

  4. Parallel connection – Up to 4 identical Egber 12V lithium batteries (same batch) can be connected in parallel with manufacturer approval to increase total capacity.

  5. Do not mix batteries – Never connect batteries of different brands, capacities, ages, or chemistries in series or parallel.

Storage & Maintenance

  • Long-term storage: -10℃ to 35℃, dry and ventilated. Recharge to 50%~80% SOC every 6 months.

  • Do not expose the 12V lithium battery to temperatures above 60℃ or open flames.

  • If the case is damaged and electrolyte (LiFePO4) leaks, flush with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention.
